Teotihuacan is located a short distance to the north of Mexico City, Mexico. The site was once a large Mesoamerican city having been established around 100 BC. The city center was dominated by the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon which remain as two of the most architecturally important structures of the Pre-Columbian Americas. The ethnicity of the people who built Teotihuacan remains a mystery.
